How to feed raspberries in spring so that the berry grows large.
To get a good harvest of raspberries, of course, you need to feed the bushes. It is best to do this in early spring, before the first leaves have appeared.
The sooner the raspberries receive nutrients, the larger the berries will grow on them.
The most effective food for raspberries
Experienced gardeners recommend feeding raspberry bushes with Azophos. To prepare the nutrient solution, you need to take 3 tablespoons of fertilizer in a ten-liter bucket of water.
If the bushes are still not very large, then it will be enough to add 1 liter of fertilizer under one bush. The older the plant, the more solution it needs for proper nutrition.
In order not to buy fertilizers, you can use manure. It is also diluted with water and insisted for a couple of days. Chicken droppings are bred in a 1: 2 ratio, i.e. for 1 liter of slurry we take 20 liters of water.
If you prefer to just scatter the manure under the raspberry bushes, it is best to do this before the rain.
But once is not enough, so it is necessary to feed one more time when the first berries appear on the bushes.
Since raspberries bear fruit for a long time and gives a lot of berries, then the plant should be fed abundantly.
It should be remembered that raspberries prefer fertile lands. To deoxidize the soil, regularly sprinkle wood ash under the bushes.
To keep the berries strong and not crumble, raspberries are fed with fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium.
