Sealed the cracked trash can for airtightness. So the boats were glued
Over time, the plastic at the bottom of the bucket could not stand it and cracked, and since the bucket is under the sink, it can damage the furniture if it leaks. I decided to fix this matter and even came up with an original way.
Repairs
For the invented method, it was required to expand the cracked plastic, which he did with the help of a drill fixed in a screwdriver. But since the method required thermal action, it did not fit for this case, I will use it next time for a metal container.
But, I remembered how, as a child, on the pier, I saw how fishermen close up their boats, for this they used a cloth soaked in epoxy resin to make hermetic patches. To repeat their method, I cut out a piece of denim, degreased the place with gasoline, and used super-glue instead of "epoxy".
For reliability, I decided to glue the patch inside the bucket, since the glue ran out, I used transparent acrylic varnish.
After everything was dry, I took water into a bucket to check the tightness, there was no leakage, the goal was achieved. I'll make a reservation right away that it is better to use waterproof glue, or epoxy resin.
All I have to do is fill the bucket with a garbage bag and put it back in place. I foresee that readers will advise to buy a new one, but if it is possible to repair it, why spend money, especially since it is not in sight.
