Peeling Potatoes for Black Currant. We increase the yield several times without spending a penny on fertilizing

Black currant is a capricious berry, in order to achieve a good harvest in all weather conditions, you need to provide it with appropriate care. A decisive role in which, in my opinion, is given to top dressing.

For several years I studied folk recipes, looked for confirmation of them in scientific botanical literature and Now I can say with confidence - potato peelings for blackcurrant fertilization are ideal.

To be convinced of this, I propose to consider how exactly the skins of a popular vegetable affect currants:

· Make the soil looser, due to which the roots "breathe" better. The effect is especially noticeable on waterlogged and clayey areas;

· Scare away pests from the root system of the bush, treating themselves to its juices;

· Saturate the currants with B vitamins and potassium, which contribute to the formation of many ovaries and quick ripening of the crop.

In addition, unlike mineral fertilizers, potato waste does not activate the growth of weeds.

It is also important to note that due to starch and glucose, potato residues strengthen the vitality of the currant and directly positively affect the formation of high taste qualities of berries.

And since you need a lot of skins, I start harvesting them in the fall. There are two ways to use this extraordinary fertilizer:

1. The peelings are cut and dried. 1 kg of raw materials should be poured into 10 liters of freshly boiled water, mix everything and remove to infuse for 24 hours.

2. The peelings are rolled through a meat grinder and frozen. Add 2 kg of thawed potato gruel to 10 liters of hot water and leave it to infuse for 24 hours.

For 1 adult bush, you need to spend only 1 liter of infusion. I apply the product daily for 15 days, from late March to mid-April.

But the berries will grow even larger and sweeter if you fertilize the currants with this infusion twice more:

When the ovaries are formed;

· 7 days before the first harvest.

When fertilizing again, it is enough to water the currants only 3 times, moreover, without interruptions and for 3 days.

Fertilizing the currants further until autumn with potato skins is pointless - it will not be harmful, but also beneficial to the culture will not bring much, so it is better to focus on other drugs and recipes that help prepare the shrub for wintering.
