Among the reasons affecting the rotting of the ovaries, there may be a lack of trace elements in the soil. Zucchini are especially sensitive to a lack of iodine and boron.

To solve this problem, spray the plant in a ratio of 2 grams of boric acid per 10 liters of water.

When planting zucchini, you need to pay attention to the distance between future plants. Thickened plantings can cause rotting of the ovaries, since zucchini located close to each other are poorly ventilated, and their leaves cover growing plants nearby.

To avoid problems with fruiting of this delicious vegetable, you can use my practical advice. To do this, you need to observe crop rotation, as well as lower the acidity of the soil by adding ash, dolomite flour and hydrated lime.

Phosphorus and potassium, which are introduced into the soil in the form of fertilizers, will help to maintain resistance to diseases.

If rainy weather persists outside for a long time, then a canopy must be pulled over the squash plantings, which would prevent the penetration of moisture. Identification of rotten ovaries in a cool summer indicates the onset of a disease such as apical rot.

Shriveled leaves gradually dry out, and then this process goes on to the ovary and fruits. In this case, it is necessary to apply potassium salt, which is applied to the soil near the squash.

I have had cases when the ovaries in the garden bed rotted even during the intense heat. This indicates the defeat of zucchini with powdery mildew. I fought the disease using the drug Fundazol or Ridomil.

Zucchini, loved by many summer residents, grow well in the open field, but in order to get a harvest, they require attention. It is important to understand in time the cause of the rotting of the zucchini ovary in order to prevent this process in time.
