When to plant cucumbers for growing seedlings
Many factors influence the time of sowing seeds. These are the weather conditions in your region, the soil and the place where the seedlings are grown. If you are going to grow cucumbers in a greenhouse or greenhouse, then you should start sowing seeds for seedlings earlier than when planting in open ground. The ideal time to plant is mid-March. It is worth sending seedlings to a greenhouse or greenhouse when it is about 20-25 days old. At the time of transplantation, the plant should have 3-4 true leaves.
Growing seedlings in a unique way
First of all, decide on the container in which the cucumbers will be grown. The most suitable would be a wooden box or box in which you need to make a small hole through which the cord from the heater will exit. You will need the heater used to install your warm floors. First, it is placed in the container, and only then a small layer of soil is poured. Next, 10 by 10 cups with a mixture of earth are installed.

For the soil mixture, it is necessary to take in equal parts humus and sod land, and also add a small amount of ash. Mix the resulting mixture well and distribute into cups.
Seedlings do not need to germinate before planting, but if you prefer to do this, then wait until they germinate and get to work. After the containers are filled with seeds, pour them with water heated to room temperature. Before the first shoots appear, the temperature sensor in the boxes must be set to +27 +28 C.
After emergence, the temperature drops to 16-18 degrees Celsius. This must be done so that the plants feel comfortable, develop well and do not stretch. After a week, increase the daytime temperature to 18-25 degrees, and reduce the night temperature to +12 +14 C. The sensor is necessary so that the temperature in the drawers is always the same and does not change.
Thanks to the heater, the root system of the plants will receive sufficient heat. This growing method is very similar to the greenhouse method, where humus serves as a kind of soil heater.
In order for the cucumbers to receive sufficient lighting, place the boxes on a windowsill or shelf for additional lighting. For good development and growth, cucumbers need to be provided with good lighting.
