In order not to "clang" the metal wicket made a simple revision
It all started with the fact that a neighbor, in place of the old one, built a new frame garage for himself, sheathed it with a professional sheet. The old one was from Soviet times, made of sheet iron, which rotted. The building looked at our sheds, the area between them was not cleaned, and he received an offer to fence off the space and put things in order there.
And why not, people agreed, the fence consisted of a gate and a wicket, keys were given to all barn owners. Today, in this area, I changed a wheel and a tire on a bicycle, found an annoying clanking sound from the gate, when closing and gusts of wind. I decided to fix it.
I fix the problem
First of all, I found the place where the gate hit, the culprit turned out to be the rib of the profiled sheet.
The second step was to figure out how to fix the problem. I had ready-made rubber patches for sealing punctures in the camera, so I decided to use one of them. I tried it on and cut it to size, covered it with superglue and attached it to the problem area. I had to hold it a little, and when the glue set, I checked it. Problems like never before.
I was satisfied with the result, but the thought does not leave me, whether it was possible to solve the problem in a different way, but I never came up with it, so I decided to ask you. Have you faced such a problem, and how did you solve it?
