Do you store or discard? After all, there are two types of people: some easily get rid of old things, while others save them for years, shifting from shelf to shelf until better times.

Good afternoon dear friends!

Agree that throwing away your favorite dresses, jeans or sundresses is quite difficult. But to give them a second life in the form of small, but useful in everyday life "handicrafts-things" is quite easy. Even a novice needlewoman can handle this! Therefore, grab a sewing machine, scissors, a needle and such old, "stale" things or small remnants of matter. Since further I will tell and show 4 practical ideas to help you make good use of your time and make homemade gizmos.

And don't forget that hand-made crafts are a great opportunity to show everyone your talent and, perhaps, even skill!

1.Cutlery storage case. Have you noticed how plastic utensils are often useless, for example, in nature, when you need to chop a piece of kebab or cut a chicken. They break, bend, do not cut. So, why not rip up a useless old thing and make a fabric case out of it for metal tools: forks, spoons, knives? Only cotton cloth and tape are needed. And then everything is simple!

Cut out rectangles: one 40x30 cm in size, the other 40x50 cm, then fold each rectangle in half and sew two sides from the inside out. We turn it out and get the bags. Further:

- put a smaller one on a large bag, turning the uncovered sides inside;

- on the side, we apply a tape and sew the rectangles together.

It remains only to "decorate" long narrow pockets according to the number of cutlery with vertical seams. And you're done! All dirty cutlery can be stored in this case. It doesn’t matter that they are dirty, because it can still be washed off!

2.Coasters for cups and hot dishes. It is difficult to avoid stains on furniture from spilled tea or coffee from a cup, but it is possible. Here a simple original stand will come to the rescue! You will need a small piece of felt, colored thread, twine, or string for the eyelet. And then we do the following:

- we cut out several pieces of felt, for example, in the form of leaves;

- we take two blanks and sew them together, leaving a small opening on top;

- we put a loop-shaped twine into the opening and sew a leaflet. Then we make a pattern of leaf veins with colored threads. That's all!

By the way, a similar stand can be made for hot. To do this, prepare a 20x30cm felt, a piece of leather and thread. Then:

- cut the felt in the form of a drop;

- cut off a small piece of skin in the shape of the top of the drop. It will serve as a handle to make the stand easy to pick up and move around. And yes, we sew a flap of skin. All!

3.Pouch for lunch or snack. A great gizmo that will help you fold your dining utensils in no time without leaving any traces behind! Such a bag will be extremely useful not only at a picnic / dacha, but even at work or on a trip. To make it, take a non-stretch cotton fabric, scissors and thread. Then we start to do needlework!

First, we measure out two right-angled triangles 50x50x80cm in size. After that:

- we cut them out and attach them to each other with long sides (at school they are called hypotenuses);

- we sew along the line of contact, forming a square;

- we fold the square diagonally, on which there is no seam, and cut the corners of the triangle on both sides at right angles. It remains to process the cuffs from the side to the very top and sew the side sections, making a small handbag. Actually, everything, the bag is ready!

4.Ornamental fruits and vegetables. A funny thing that will help keep your kids busy for a long time. Invite them to make their own soft toys in the form of fruits or vegetables! Moreover, it is not difficult, but very exciting. To do this, you will need: fabric of different colors, batting (cotton wool, synthetic winterizer), threads and a needle. And now:

- we cut out the shape of the selected vegetables and fruits from the fabric. Do not forget, all blanks must be paired;

- from the inside out, we sew the shreds together in pairs, leaving a small opening;

- turn it out and fill it with filler;

- carefully sew up the opening. Everything, decorative toys are ready!

Now you can play in a restaurant or even "cook" soup for dolls. Let this game remain a pleasant memory for your children for many years!
