Let's make vegetable humus from food waste and organic matter. An alternative and free option to rotted manure
Nowadays, a manure or humus machine is becoming a luxury for many gardeners. Therefore, most often summer residents are looking for alternative cheap options.
For example, forest land is always loose and rich in nutrients. And nobody fertilizes it. More precisely, trees fertilize themselves when they throw off their foliage in the fall, which is processed by microorganisms and earthworms, gradually rotting and making the soil fertile.
Why not make the soil just as nutritious in your garden? To do this, you can use all food waste from the kitchen of vegetable origin (eggshells, coffee, tea leaves, potato peels, banana peels, etc.), residues after harvesting vegetables from the site, small twigs, mown grass.
All food waste (except citrus fruits) and plant residues must be laid out directly on the garden bed in an even layer under the mulch. The more organic matter enters the soil, the more fertile it becomes.
The result is plant humus, which does not need to be added, organic matter immediately rotted in the beds. It will become an alternative to rotted manure.

Large residues, such as eggshells, must be chopped up by hand. It is imperative to put waste in the garden bed under the mulch. Under it, plant residues rot faster as a result of the activity of microbiota and earthworms.
To make the process go faster, you can water the holes and beds with green fertilizer (fermented solution of herbs) or infusion with microorganisms.
Try this method of obtaining plant humus in the beds, the plants will thank you with an excellent harvest.
