Why silverfish have finally disappeared from my house forever: I share my own experience

Two years ago, my family moved into an apartment in a new building. In a new apartment, I faced a problem that I had been struggling with for over a year. Nasty insects attacked my home. These are small worms 1-1.5 cm long, silvery in color with 6 legs. First, they settled in the bathroom. And once I noticed this muck on the table near the bread. From that moment on, I started a real war with these guests. I read all the articles on the Internet to find out who they are and how to get rid of them.

It turned out to be silverfish. Some confuse them with wood lice. They usually live in dark rooms with high humidity. It is believed that they do not do any harm, but, you see, seeing them scattering on the floor in the bathroom every morning is not a pleasant sight. And besides, they shit and breed.

What tools did I use when trying to withdraw them:

I bought boric acid at the pharmacy and sprayed the solution from a spray bottle in the places where they appeared.

· Mixed crushed chalk with dry boric acid and scattered in the corners of the bathroom.

· Placed sticky traps on the floor.

Unfortunately, all these methods turned out to be useless, and the nasty guests also settled in the rooms. I had to use dichlorvos. For a while, he solved my problem, but then the insects appeared again.

And recently I accidentally remembered how I got rid of cockroaches with the help of Chinese chalk back in the 90s. With the last hope I found in the store a crayon from cockroaches "Clean House".

The packaging says that it is also effective against fleas, flies, and bed bugs. Nothing is mentioned about silverfish, but I decided to try it.

When I got home, I drew a thick solid line along the baseboards, and in the bathroom I did it especially carefully.

I also decided to make such a bait: I crumbled a small piece of chalk and mixed it with bread crumb. Silverfish feed on everything that contains starch. From this dough I rolled several small balls and laid them in the corners in the bathroom and toilet.

After three days, I stopped noticing insects, but for a month, every time after cleaning, I applied a new layer with chalk. And now my uninvited guests have gone where they came from.

So, I have identified the following advantages of the Clean House cockroach crayon:

· Has no odors.

· It really helps.

· Cheap, costs about 25 rubles.

· It is economically consumed, one package was enough for the whole apartment.

· After using it, you do not need to walk with a broom and collect insect corpses. I saw only a couple of dead individuals, the rest of my apartment hastily left.

It turned out that the simplest and cheapest remedy works better than others.
