Builders from God! What time did the repair of a new roof take me

Subscribers know that I am building a house. Well, as I build: I bought bare walls and am doing repairs. Recently I came across a very unpleasant thing that I got from the builders.

I have a townhouse with 3 floors. Part of the roof is sloped and part is flat. On the flat part of the roof, I wanted to organize a lounge area: put a table, rattan chairs and a couple of hanging drop chairs.

But thanks to the "brilliant" builders, it turned out to be difficult and expensive to implement. The slope of the floor slab between the 2nd and 3rd floors was made not to the street, but to the house. The slab also turned out to be porous and this winter leaked so that the buckets had to be placed on the first floor.

At the family council, it was decided to cover the lounge area with a roof and so fix all of the above jambs. It remained to choose the type of construction and roofing material.

It would seem, what is the question? Part of the house is already covered with corrugated board - take it and do it! But it was not there.

When studying the roof, it became clear that everything is bad there: from the quality and thickness of the corrugated board to installation. As the saying goes: "Trouble does not come alone."

The simplest solution is to dismantle the old corrugated board and connect the lounge area canopy to the roof of the house. Cover the entire structure with a profiled sheet.

1. The choice of roofing material. During the renovation, I noticed that it was very noisy on the third floor in the rain. And in summer, the temperature in the room is 2-3 degrees higher than on other floors. Therefore, it was necessary to choose the optimal material that would be resistant to external influences, would not make noise from rain, would serve for a long time and would not spoil the architecture of the house.

The Internet gave me a lot of options for roofing materials: from good old roofing material to slate roofing. In the end I chose shingles Shinglas.
