What to do if tomatoes don't grow in cold ground. Feed them phosphorus through the leaves

Many gardeners are already starting to plant their tomatoes in greenhouses, despite the fact that even at night the temperature drops below zero. Savvy summer residents manage to make greenhouses inside the greenhouse with the help of arcs and film to save their plants.

At the same time, tomatoes still do not move in growth, because the soil temperature is not yet warmed up enough, it is simply uncomfortable for plants to be in such soil. Tomatoes are constantly stressed in these conditions.

In cold soil, the root system of plants cannot take phosphorus from the soil. As a result, tomatoes slow down in development, their growth is suspended. The leaves brighten because the chlorophyll molecules partially break down due to a lack of phosphorus. Ovaries may not form or fall off.

You can, of course, wait for the warmth to come, and the plants will begin to develop naturally. But there is a way that will speed up the development of tomatoes even in cold soil.

However, you need to choose the right fertilizer that dissolves well in water, for example, potassium monophosphate. It contains balanced amounts of potassium and phosphorus.

You can use superphosphate as a leaf dressing. But you need to know how to properly prepare an extract from this fertilizer, and then use it on plants.

The use of superphosphate on tomatoes will prevent the ovaries from falling off, contribute to the rapid ripening of fruits and an increase in yield.

A superfoste extract should be prepared as follows:

· Take 2 ct. l. fertilizer (already broken down) and fill with hot water in the amount of 1 liter;

· The mixture should stay within 24 hours;

· You need to pour the solution (without sediment) into a ten-liter bucket;

Add 1 teaspoon of potassium sulfate;

· Pour into a bucket of warm water and stir the mixture.

This mixture is enough to spray 50 tomato bushes.

Also, special phosphorus foliar dressings have been developed (per leaf) in the form of chelated liquid forms (colofermins). They can also be used. They are quickly absorbed by the sheet.
