What to add to the beds in the new greenhouse
May began. The weather is sunny outside, but the air temperature is not quite May yet, there are still frosts at night. But this does not prevent you from doing gardening business.
When installing a new greenhouse, summer residents often have a question about the location of the beds in this design, the choice of fertilizers and land for future planting.
In a greenhouse 6 by 3 meters, I am going to grow peppers and tomatoes in 3 beds, I will use only organic fertilizers.
The layout and size of the beds I chose the following: at the edges the width is 50 cm, 2 tracks - 60 cm, the center - 80 cm. From the southern end there is a small garden bed 60 cm wide.
Wooden boxes and beams were installed by the husband and treated (painted) with a special anti-decay agent. After a couple of hours, as the boxes dried up, they laid out the garden soil, leaving room for organic matter. For 1 m2, 1.5-2 buckets of humus, 1 bucket of compost and 1 bucket of river sand (to create looseness of the soil) were brought in.
After adding this amount of organic matter, you do not need to feed the plants much. Fertilizers are enough for the whole season.
When planting, I will add a handful of humus, a handful of onion husks to each hole, and ash will also become additional feeding (it must be put in an amount of 50-100 grams).
I pour organic matter to the top, as the earth will settle over time. I dig the beds inside the wooden fences to the depth of the shovel bayonet, then level the soil surface with a rake.
After her husband sheathed the frame of the greenhouse, she spilled the beds well from the watering can. In a few days, as the earth settles, I will plant plants (peppers and tomatoes).
