2 in one. New capabilities of the apparatus for polypropylene
I consider it a success when you can expand the capabilities of an already purchased tool, an excellent story came out here, and together with the welded device, I received another 600 W soldering iron.
How it was. First try
The first time I tried to solder the wires to them with the help of a footwear attached to it, this is such a bath with tin melted in it, you dip the twist into it and you're done. Everything seems to be fine, but too specific, and if you need to work like a regular soldering iron, then what to do? And here, the idea came!
I decided to adapt the tip from an old soldering ironthat broke. But first I wanted to make the option extremely simple (lazy), for this I cut a thread in the end to the first hole, clamped the sting in it with a screw and tested it.
The iron got hot and we managed to solder the tip of the bare wire, butit was inconvenient and not productive, the wire was badly soldered, there is not enough heating temperature.
Second attempt
It became clear that it would not be possible to philonite, I decided to approach thoroughly, for this, I cut the sting in half, and cut the thread on the segments, with a scraper into eight.
I screwed it in, waited for heating and tried to solder again, well, it's another matter, the wire immediately warmed up and got tinny. As a result, I got two tips and a powerful soldering iron, which will always come in handy on the farm. By the way, the end thread allows you to install a nozzle there, for welding pipes in hard-to-reach places. How do you like this idea, the second possibility of using the unit?
