Why people choose their own homes after moving to America
Have you noticed that most Americans live in one-story / two-story houses? They live in apartments only in large cities, and all other Americans prefer to live in their own secluded homes. But why? Let's figure it out ...
Houses in America are usually two-story or one-story, have their own front yard, utility room - basement and are located in special so-called "two-storey areas", which are streets of houses, sometimes made in the same style and colors.
Convenience or habit?
It can be assumed that they live in their own houses due to the fact that it is convenient. Judge for yourself, living in such a house, you are not bothered by drunken neighbors screaming and pounding with their heels at 5 am, you have your own a courtyard where you can walk at any time of the day and, of course, personal space, which is what we ordinary inhabitants of apartments do not enough. Living in such a house is convenient and comfortable.
But there is another suggestion. Perhaps the Americans adopted this from the indigenous peoples. Who constantly changed their place of residence and therefore lived in small nomadic houses. Over time, this habit could remain, and instead of small and nomadic, houses became cozy, comfortable and large, but not so modern as to become apartments.
You know, no matter what the reason is that people in America live in their own homes, I know one thing that these houses will remain in my memory as a symbol of America. I don't know about you, but I would have moved to America just for the sake of such a serene life. It's so cool when you wake up in your house in the morning and live by your own rules.
What do you think about this? Do you think that this is a matter of habit or are Americans more thoughtful than us? Would you like to live in such a house or do you think it is a waste of money? Share your opinion in the comments.
