Good afternoon dear friends!

It is not easy to create a really stylish comfortable room that will be pleasant to be in. And therefore, almost every person, when furnishing an apartment / house, involuntarily makes several typical mistakes: places furniture close to the wall, forgets about zoning, upsets the balance of space, etc. As a result, a seemingly rather large initially room turns into an inconvenient and aesthetically obscene space. So that you were able to avoid such mistakes even at the planning stage of their home, I also prepared this material.

Well, let's get down to the analysis of errors?

Mistake # 1. Place furniture against the wall. We are used to the fact that all furniture should be placed along the walls. This is what our parents did to make the room seem larger and more spacious. But at the same time, it should be understood that this method of furnishing makes it difficult for the family to communicate - you have to raise your voice and even shout.

Therefore, it would be more correct to combine items of the same purpose into groups. For example, move the sofa and armchairs together, thereby creating a cozy corner in which family or friendly gatherings will be held.

Mistake # 2. Forget about zoning. Dividing a room into zones is one of the basic principles of rational planning. It is impossible to tune in to a working mood, sitting on a bed or sofa. This furniture always works in a relaxing way, encouraging you to get distracted and relax your attention.

Therefore, try to make boundaries, highlight areas for work, sleep, watching TV or eating. This makes it easier to tune in to one task and complete it as efficiently as possible.

Mistake number 3. Upset the balance of space. It is not a good idea to move all the furniture to one side. Since when one part of the room is full and the other is empty, there is a feeling of dissonance and irritation. Remember! The room should be evenly furnished. In this case, it is not necessary to strive for symmetry. It is enough to balance the space.

For example, hang a shelf in front of a high cabinet, balance the chair at one end of the sofa with a bedside table on the other. So you can use the entire area in a functional and practical way.

Mistake # 4. Do not calculate carpet size. The choice of floor decor is a delicate matter! And you can blunder once or twice. Therefore, remember: all the legs of the furniture must stand on the correct carpet. At least all the front ones must fit on it.

Otherwise, he will bully, move out and get tangled underfoot in every possible way. Thus, creating dangerous situations in your home.

Mistake # 5. Make a mistake in the size of the furniture. Many people dream of an oversized bed or sofa. They are convenient and comfortable, but only until the time comes for rearrangement or general cleaning. Lifting them, moving them or shifting them slightly to the side will be a real torment. Not to mention the fact that large furniture visually makes a small space heavier.

Therefore, it is preferable to use compact furniture when arranging a room. It is more convenient and practical in everyday life. It can be easily moved, changing accents in the room, or taken with you when you move to a new place.

Mistake # 6. Forget about auxiliary "accessories". Before placing furniture in the room, imagine the moment when you will use it. For example, where will the smartphone lie while charging, can you quickly reach it? Or where do you put the book you are reading at night?

Coffee tables, bedside tables, wall shelves, ottomans - these are the little things that deserve your close attention. Since they contribute to the creation of a comfortable environment for humans.
