I was going to make something useful from a couple of burned out LED lamps and remembered that the soldering iron does not work and there is nothing to repair. I decided to take a new one. Of those that were available I liked MATRIX 9130369 with a removable sting. Manufacturer China, although it is written a little unusual "MadeinPRC" (People'sRepublic Of China). Interestingly, the barcode is German, and the manufacturer is China. It is clear that we are talking about a subsidiary. To be honest, the instrument looks and smells not at all "Chinese".

The soldering iron comes with only a small plastic stand made of non-combustible material, approximately from the one used in Soviet external sockets.

The soldering iron handle is made of ABS plastic with reduced thermal conductivity. In appearance and touch, it is really of high quality and firmly holds the working part of the soldering iron, pressed through the handle with a screw. I tried to swing the metal tube to the sides, it turned out that there was no backlash, and it pleased me. You can see the price of such a soldering iron in the Market:

From the entire line MATRIX this model heats up faster than others. I checked: the tube heats up to 100 degrees in about one and a half minutes, and the sting itself up to operating temperature - in 3-4 minutes. At the expense of its thermal conductivity, I will not say anything yet, since I have not yet tested it in practice.

As for the tip, copper is not visible in the scratches from the reddish clamping screws, which means that the protective coating on it is not thin.

Previously, I did not use a soldering iron in which you can change the tip, but here such a thing is just. The sting is easily removed, it is enough to release one of the two clamping bolts under the cross, which is at the end of the body. Blade length 70 mm, which is longer than many samples sold separately, but this is later. I'll try to work sharp for now. The plug is molded with a cord, so if the wire breaks at its base, you will have to replace it.

Of the obvious disadvantages is a short power cable, only 1 meter, and this is with a plug.

So, now there is something to do and I think I will soon write where the worthless LED bulbs are going to. One of them, by the way, after repair it burned for another six months. The soldering iron seems to be not bad, it remains to understand what it is capable of in reality, not in 30 minutes, but at least for 5 years.
