How to replace a bathroom faucet. We can do it without a plumber

To install the mixer, you need to carry out a bunch of preparatory work, which I wrote about in the previous article. But when they are made and need to be replaced, or a new device installed, then the work comes down to simple actions, and if there is a minimum of tools available to everyone.

Assembly and fastening

I will briefly show on this mixer, and at the end I will insert a retro video where the process was filmed by my little one, which is already taller than me. Okay, digress shut off the water first. The device in the photo required only the connection of the spout, the hose for the watering can, and the watering can itself. Since the outlet to the hose is located behind the spout, for convenience, putting on a gasket, secured the hose by slightly tightening the nut with a wrench.

Not forgetting to put on the gaskets, I inserted the mixer nuts on the nipples, here I do not use eccentrics, since everything is level. And also I do not wear decorative cups, because everything is neat, and they have nothing to cover, and the exit of the carving from the wall is not designed for them. I screw the nuts by hand, and with a slight effort I tighten the key.

The turn to connect the spout, the clamping nut is made with a cone, this is inconvenient, when choosing, try to take the device with a hex nut, then it is convenient to tighten it with a wrench. Next, I remove the plug from the hose nut, and after making sure that the gasket is in place, I screw on the watering can. I turn on the water, check the flow through the shower and gander, everything is fine, and there is no leak anywhere, the job is done.
