The best options for insulation and finishing of the foundation on screw piles

A foundation on screw or driven piles is a quick solution, how to get a foundation for a house in 1-2 days and start building walls. But at the end of the construction, this option of the foundation carries a different task - how to correctly, simply and inexpensively close the space between the ground and the walls.

This space must be closed, because without a closed circuit, there will always be an increased air movement under the house. And in winter, even with good floor insulation, you will receive increased heat loss. Cold floors, at least. I propose to consider the options for insulation and cladding of the basement space:

The easiest way: we make a wooden frame, on which extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) or dense foam (PSB-S-35) is fixed with foaming of all the cracks. The finish is mounted in the form of a basement siding under a stone.

Pile foundation along the frame, it is sheathed with decorative panels: fiber cement or plastic (siding) and penoizol is sprayed from the inside. It is expensive to purchase in cylinders from a store for such an area. But calling specialists with the installation is also not cheap. In addition, the employee needs to crawl under the house and apply insulation there with high quality. Will there be such an opportunity?

If you are not a supporter of plastic cladding, then after installing EPS or polystyrene, the decorative cladding can be made of metal, from a profiled sheet with a stone print:

In the ground, the "cake" is simply sprinkled with sand or screenings on a pillow of the same bulk material. The frost heave will not squeeze out the cladding.

The next option. After insulation, you can mount a flat slate and apply a plaster layer on the basis of a cement-sand mixture with a plasticizer and create a decorative surface for a stone:
