What fertilizers are strictly forbidden to mix.
There are a number of fertilizers that must not be mixed with each other. If this is done, then a water-insoluble precipitate is formed. Flakes and other inclusions can also form. But such connections may appear that are not visible to the naked eye. In a practical sense, this is of no benefit. Ammonium nitrogen, for example, getting into the soil, begins to evaporate. It turns out that all the works literally fly away to the wind. It is even worse when some of the solutions can burn the roots of the plant.
If you mix manure with ash, you can observe a rather violent reaction in which methane, sulfur, ammonia are released. Do not get carried away with old-fashioned methods. Times have changed and they just don't work. It is much more expedient to do everything according to science. The gardener should clearly remember which fertilizers are strictly forbidden to mix with each other.
If fertilizers are antagonistic, they will simply begin to displace each other, and the plant will not see any benefit from this. To reduce the risks when using chemicals and organic fertilizers, you must follow basic rules. For example, getting into an alkaline environment, calcium ions block potassium and phosphorus. In this case, the formation of a fixed form takes place. Meanwhile, plants need an exchange form. It is she who is available to plants.
It would seem that this or that element is enough in the soil, but it is simply not available for plants. Hence, the emergence of various diseases is observed.
Fertilizers with the presence of an ammonium form of nitrogen should not be mixed with formulations that have an alkaline environment. This applies to ash, lime, dolomite, and other types. If they are still mixed, ammonia will be released abundantly. As a result, the composition as a fertilizer for the plant will not be of any interest.
Calcium nitrate does not like when it is mixed with plants that contain phosphorus (superphosphate). This should only be done immediately before depositing. The same can be said for sulfur.
If we consider such a fertilizer as superphosphate, then it is difficult to completely dissolve it even in hot water. If someone decides to mix it with urea, they will get a situation in which a hygroscopic precipitate is formed. As a result, both agents will simply lose their properties.
Do not mix alkali with phosphorus fertilizer. You can get just a reaction that is difficult to predict. Do not mix organic, mineral fertilizers and ash in one planting hole. They should be applied to the soil separately. After applying one layer, it must be sprinkled with a layer of earth. It is better if the earthen layer is as thick as possible.
In short, you cannot add all fertilizers in a row. And some gardeners do just that. It should be remembered that there are such types of dressings that are strictly prohibited to mix. If there is no sense from them, it is not so bad. But they can cause irreparable harm to the plant.
