But unfortunately, information about which fertilizers are harmful to the pepper is much less common! But they are able to nullify all the work, lower yields and even completely destroy the plantings.

Ammonium nitrate

Of course, at the beginning of the season, the pepper needs nitrogen to develop the green part. But you need to add ammonium nitrate in a minimum amount.

Well-intentioned excess nitrogen causes peppers to have decreased daily tolerance fluctuations in air temperatures, and also develops a bad tendency to accumulate in a ripening crop nitrates.

Urea

In principle, this is a very good fertilizer, but it has an interesting effect - it acidifies the soil. And for growing peppers, its pH balance should be closer to alkaline.

If you feed the peppers with urea, then their flowering and the formation of the crop can be significantly delayed, after which the vegetable fruits simply do not have time to fill with ripeness in favorable weather conditions.

Clean manure

In theory, this is just a magic tool for increasing soil fertility! But if you bring it to the area with peppers, nothing good will happen.

In the process of its decomposition, the manure will begin to increase the local temperature in the soil and the roots of the vegetable culture lying in it, figuratively speaking, “bake”.

And when the gardener notices the deterioration of the aboveground part of the plants, it will be too late to save them.

Boron

Be sure to "treat" them to peppers during the flowering period! But not at the root, but in the format of spraying leaves and stems. With proper processing, boron increases the number of ovaries formed.

But if you use it before flowering or after, then this vegetable crop's vitality decreases at times. The crop can be shallow, crooked and prone to cracking on the bush.
