How much time did I spend ironing before and how this process turned into a pleasure
Admit it, which of you likes to iron your clothes? Personally, a pile of dried linen always acted depressingly on me - at first I tuned in for a long time, then I carefully moistened the dried clothes, then finally ironed, and some places (collars, cuffs) had to be ironed several times in order to smooth each fold. Sound familiar? Thanks to my neighbor, she told me about an unusual method, and now I iron only in this way, significantly reducing the time spent. Interesting? Then look carefully ...
Today I washed colored baby clothes, which I will iron right there. Let's prepare a set for quick ironing:
In addition to the iron and ironing board, we need: 1 part white vinegar, 1 part fabric softener and 5 parts water. Using a measuring cap and a funnel, pour it all into a container with a spray bottle and mix thoroughly.
For ironing, we do not need dried clothes, but damp ones - only taken from the washing machine. There is no need to pour water into the iron.
First I have jeans. I lay them out on the board and literally once I run them with a hot iron on both sides, raising steam over them.
I don’t iron the belt and pockets of jeans, I just spray the prepared liquid on them - it will help to remove creases.
It is even easier to iron sweatpants - literally one stroke of the iron.
The next example is a children's shirt. I don’t iron the collar, the button strip and the cuffs, I just stretch it slightly with my hands and spray it with our magic liquid. I lightly iron only the main part.
I do the same with the rest - I iron only the base and sleeves, and I just spray the details.
My clothes are still damp enough to dry properly.
I immediately put the ironed pits, shirts and T-shirts on my hangers and hang them on the dryer:
I stretch my jeans and trousers along the length with my hands and hang them by the edge so that they hang freely.
Do not worry if the clothes seem to be poorly ironed - they will reach their ideal state when they dry completely under their own weight. All that remains is to put it in the closet.
By the way, bed linen is perfectly ironed in this way, and insidious folds and creases on sheets and duvet covers are ironed much better while they are not dry.
Be sure to try this wonderful quick ironing method and save your time and energy!
