How to effectively destroy weeds in the garden: once and for all.
Weeds haunt gardeners throughout the season: from early spring to harvest. No sooner had the useful plants show the world their tender sprouts, as the weeds are already trying to drown them out and deprive them of light. If you do not exterminate harmful plants in time, then you can forget about the harvest.
It takes a lot of effort to keep the beds clean, without a single weed. And it's so offensive when you just weeded your garden, and after two or three days, the weeds again begin to break free. What to do with weeds that are so difficult to control?
One of the worst pests is sow thistle. Not only is it necessary to pull it out with tight gloves so as not to hurt yourself on the thorns, but also its powerful root holds the weed tightly, not allowing the plant to be completely removed.
It is most effective to cut the sow thistle, not pull it out. From my many years of experience, I noticed that felled or cut weeds begin to appear in the beds later than plucked ones. I don't know what the reason is, but I prefer to kill the thistle with a hoe or knife.
But it is best to poison this malignant plant with special chemicals. Chemical weeding is desirable after harvest.
The next weed, which is also difficult to remove from the garden, is hogweed. It should be destroyed with gloves and clothing that fully protects your body. Hogweed is a poisonous plant. Chemical weeding is best for killing dangerous weeds.
As for the wheatgrass, its removal will take several years of painstaking work. Every year it is necessary to remove the roots of the wheatgrass in all possible ways. In autumn, when the wheatgrass is still green, it must be sprayed with chemicals. Then pick as many roots as possible from the ground, even if they are dry. Wheatgrass has a unique vitality.
With woodlice, the fight is carried out in a slightly different way. This weed shows you that the soil in your garden is too acidic. Therefore, it is worth adding wood ash, chalk or lime to the beds. Woodlice will not like such feeding and it will simply disappear from your garden.
It takes a lot of hard work to keep the beds clean and tidy.
