How to make a simple and reliable stool. Part 7. Assembling stool

This publication will focus on the remaining details of the preparations for the assembly and the assembly.

The remaining part - is the seat of the stool. The simplest cut the seat of the finished furniture board, you can also glue it yourself. Remind seat dimensions - 320h320h20 (18) mm.

I made the seat of a pine board furniture.

He sawed blank, and then passed from the front of molding machine cutter. The same, which makes the progam.

Now the parts are made, it is necessary to prepare them for assembly.

Let's start with the legs. They need to drill two blind holes pronozhek. The holes can be made with a drill or drill press.

To drill markings made at a distance of 130 mm from the top of the legs and in the middle. Depth of the hole to be drilled 10 mm.

For the drilling machine, you can make a template into which the leg and drill the hole.

I drilled the drill pen. I had a drill bit 20 mm, and as the progam 19 mm in diameter, then I'll just grind off 0.5 mm on each side of the drill.

Further, all the details are polished.

Tsargi I still do not sawed in the width dimension, as large workpieces I prefer to grind, and the edges can be sanded after cutting.

For the convenience of cutting I made a pencil mark directly on the "slide" and make it ready for drawer side (side-bar to put a disc saw and drew a line)

First, do a notch on the edge of the stud, and then can be cut with a knife, or cut a rasp.

After this training you are ready to assemble.

Feet convenient to collect pairs. The sequence of this - we smear joiner holes PVA for pronozhek and grooves for side-bar. The adhesive is applied only to parts which are glued to such a pair.

After applying the adhesive progam set, and then inserted in the drawer side slots.

30 minutes on the part of the contract the clamps.

After the second gluing the same pair, the base can be glued stool completely.

Scheme here is the same - smear adhesive pronozhek holes and grooves in the legs and also progam set first, and then side-bar.

And also 30 minutes contractible clamps.

It remains to fasten the seat. And the easiest way to fasten the seat with metal corners.

You can also secure the seat to the dowel. I put a dowel in the center of the legs - it's easier to count.

The drill stem opening 20 mm and 20 mm from the outer edges of the legs. And because the overhang in seats also 20 mm in the seat drilled dowel holes in the corners at a distance of 40 mm and 40 mm.

The seat hole depth of 15 mm. in the legs 18 mm for dowels 8h32.

Glued dowels and turns rugged and reliable stool. The first sample, as I wrote earlier, is now in its fifth year.
