I love people for their unpredictability. And today there is another reason to check yourself whether this is exactly the case. A friend decided to remove the old tiles from the Soviet era from the stove and replace them with a new one. According to her calculations, the work should have ended almost immediately after the start. What? There is a tile, glue and crosses, it remains to quickly knock down all the old stuff and stick the new ceramics in place with a bumblebee. A minute after the appearance, I realized that the "show" would not continue until lunchtime.

Removing the tiles is not a problem, although in her 30s she still held up perfectly. But now, together with the tiles, for some reason, the rough began to fall apart, the brick in which was laid on clay. Touched only and they fell inside the smoke channels. From what they saw, the eyes of my customer changed their dimensions a little, but she did not lose her composure, which was encouraging.

And then a friend quite logically concluded that since it happened so, it is necessary to bake from soot to cleanespecially since when it happened the last time, she did not remember.

Soot together with ash gained 10 kilograms. My racial identity after that temporarily changed, but this did not become an obstacle to the goal.

After cleaning the soot, the bricks were returned to their place, but they were already laid on a cement-lime mortar. The slab and walls, where the tiles were, had to first be impregnated with a primer, dried with a coffee break and re-applied the rough plaster so that the tiles could be easily glued. At the end of the day, the stove looked like this.

At the end of the first day of work, another important fact was revealed. It turns out that instead of the old 15x15 cm tile, there will now be a tile, attention, 25x40 cm!!! And this is very unexpected. I don't even know yet how many pieces will not have to be cut, because the tiles and walls are not level. In general, tomorrow is a new series of adventures. And how not to rejoice in the expected surprises! As I do something, I will try to write about it too.
