Defeated the Whitefly in the Greenhouse? I am telling you an effective way that helped me solve the problem
In modern times, many gardeners prefer to grow certain crops in greenhouses conditions, which allows you to get an early harvest and provides protection of plantings from unpredictable weather conditions.
But the warm and humid microclimate reigning in the greenhouse creates comfortable conditions not only for plants, but also for various pests, including the whitefly, which can destroy the entire crop.
More than once I had to protect my greenhouse plantings from these pathogenic moths, and one simple but very effective way has always helped me in this matter.
If you are tired of the whitefly tricks, and do not know how to quickly get rid of this pest, then I will gladly tell you about it.
Preparatory stage
To combat whitefly, I have never resorted to using chemicals, because I consider them unsafe for plants planted in a greenhouse.
I always get rid of this pest with simple improvised means. So, you need to prepare a soapy solution.
To do this, I take 100 grams of laundry or tar soap and rub it on a grater. Dissolve the crushed soap in warm water (600 ml).
Plant processing
Using a hose or using a watering can, I knock down adult butterflies of a pest that have settled in greenhouse plantings with a stream of water.
Next, I take a foam sponge, moisten it abundantly in the prepared soapy solution and treat the surfaces (both internal and external) of plant leaves with it.
As a result, the leaf plates are cleared of larvae, eggs and sticky plaque left by the whitefly.
This way of dealing with whitefly is a painstaking task and time-consuming, but at the same time it is effective and, unlike chemicals, absolutely safe and harmless.
Additional method
To combat whitefly in a greenhouse, you can plant crops such as dill or ghoul in the aisles.
These crops attract riders - insects, which are its main enemies for the whitefly, and they will certainly help free the greenhouse from unexpected guests.
In the fight against whitefly, firmly established in greenhouse conditions, treatment of plants with soapy water will effectively help.
This method is not able to harm the plantings and at the same time drive the pest away for a long time. Try it and evaluate it yourself.
