And you grow mini

The opening of the summer cottage season can not only please, but also upset - after all, not everyone has their own plot! Fortunately, it is also possible to grow seasonal crops at home.

You just need to equip the balcony - it must be glazed to protect the planting from bad weather, you still need to buy a phytolamp for seedlings, little things for care and choose special varieties...

Personally, I have been doing this for the sixth year and I want to share my results.

What is summer without fresh berries? My choice is garden strawberries, ampelous varieties - this way you can save useful space, and also fragrant "cascade" of greenery, now with white flowers, now with ruby berries, decorates the balcony no worse than the same begonias.

Usually I plant Queen Elizabeth II - you can harvest 3 crops per season, the fruits are not watery, sweet and large - up to 40 grams.

I consider it important to add that you cannot plant an ordinary tomato variety in a tight container in the hope that it will grow dwarf - the plant, not having normal conditions for development, will simply wither away.

Therefore, I grow special, so-called pot varieties. My favorites are Yellow pearls, undemanding to lighting and bringing up to 6 kg from a bush and Angelica, yielding up to 3.5 kg in just 90-95 days.

Naturally, seasonal summer meals cannot be imagined without greenery. I sow dill on fluffy twigs in a bunch - that is, with a pinch in one hole, so it does not bloom for a long time.

I prefer varieties Gribovsky and Salut. Closer to autumn, Richelieu sows - for umbrellas for blanks.

Lettuce leaves are also needed in the kitchen - I prefer leafy, as the least whimsical. The most favorite variety is Batavia, a tray with which can stand somewhere at the corner of the balcony, undemanding to the sun.

I can recommend the Lollo Biond variety - an elegant yellow-green, with a pleasant nutty flavor.

There are also zucchini in my city garden, more precisely - their variety of Mediterranean origin called zucchini. I plant the Tsukesh variety annually.

It is compact and ripens in the last days of June. You can cook your favorite dishes and turn them into caviar. The variety has been tested for years - it was added to the State Register in 1986.

Vegetables can grow up to 30-40 cm in length, but they are tasty even in the stage of milk ripeness, as soon as they have reached 15 cm. Tsukesha is an elegant variety. Dark green at the beginning of maturity and yellow or orange at full maturity.
