Eight years ago I installed a flow-through storage water heater and I do not regret it
In almost every city, hot water is turned off in the summer season for hydraulic tests and network repair. In our area of the city this happens in June:
Previously, the shutdown was made for two weeks.
In order not to experience discomfort from this period (to boil water in a kettle), water heaters are installed. The most common option is cumulative. A family of 3-4 people needs at least 50 liters, the water heats up in 1.5 hours. The tank is huge, it often looks like this:
It's good when the area of the bathroom allows, but if there is no place, as in panel houses?
It must be securely installed on the anchor, connected to the water supply system, and thought over the shutdown (taps). Now there are many models with a flat tank - they are more compact.
You can install a flow-type water heater. But their power consumption is too high for the standard electrical network of an apartment building: from 5 to 8 kW. Ideally, a separate cable should be installed. Although, the cost of such models is from 1.5 thousand. rub.
I refused these options when I found out that there is an average: a flow-through storage water heater. It combines the advantages of all models: small size, optimal power (suitable for wiring in an apartment), unlimited water heating, low cost.
Model Edisson MS 15 with shower. I got it about eight years ago. The connection is simple - you just need to screw on the flexible water supply hose. Compact size, does not take up much space in the bathroom. Of the main advantages, the family is not tied to the time of heating the water. A volume of 15 liters is heated from cold to 75 gr. in 5-7 minutes, and then heats up as the water is consumed.
During operation, the power button broke. I didn't disassemble it - I fixed it in one position. When hot water is turned on, I just turn it off and turn off the tap.
Specifications. Volume 15 liters, power 2.5 kW. Built-in mixer. But he is always in the middle position.
At one time, I bought it to solve the situation of lack of hot water for 7-10 days with limited finances. But it got accustomed and fully justifies itself. I see no reason to change it while it works.
Now such flow-through storage water heaters are not sold everywhere. Low demand? I do not know. A very convenient option for me. Also an inexpensive and compact solution for a summer residence. I rented it for the winter and took it to the city, if the dacha is only a summer one.
