It's no secret that there are many clever ways to renovate an apartment in just a few hours. I will not list them all, as I want to focus on one particular technique. Namely - on the stripes!

Emphasize non-standard taste and approach to space decor. And with all this, you can use any lines: horizontal or vertical, thin or wide, neutral or colored. You just need to be brave and bring them into your interior! By the way, stripes have a unique ability - to be one single decoration, but at the same time never look boring.

1.Symmetrical banding. Let's start with the classic - alternating vertical lines of the same width on one of the walls. Neutral tones 100% will add a beautiful visual effect, set the rhythm, but do not overload the atmosphere in the room. The end result is a discreet decor that will look great both in the living room and in the kitchen.

Have a desire to experiment? Sumptuously! Try to play with the shades and size of the stripes. For example, apply wide stripes of the same color and dilute them with thin strips of “tasty” color. The main thing is to observe symmetry when applying them.

2.Decorative asymmetry. A more original, but at the same time economical and easy-to-implement solution. You only need to apply 2, 4, 6 stripes. They can be drawn almost anywhere: in the corner, by the window, or even on the front door.

By the way, in this case, you can use stripes of different heights, thereby creating a real graphic design in the room. But keep in mind that the chosen color must match and harmonize with the overall style of the interior.

3.Vertical on the head of the bed. Do you have a low ceiling in your room? No problem! You can fix this problem using stripes. After all, human eyes are easy to deceive. You just need to draw vertical stripes, for example, at the head of the bed. As a result, the lines directed upwards create the visual illusion of a higher ceiling height than it actually is.

But in a narrow corridor, you need to use horizontal stripes. They will visually lengthen the room and give it a sense of spaciousness.

4.Horizontal on furniture. The stripes can be applied not only to walls or ceilings, but also to furniture. This technique will help you to emphasize, accentuate and add visual interest to a previously boring / ordinary interior item. There are plenty of ways to make this decor, from paint to colored tape.

Alternative options include striped covers or fabric for pulling upholstered furniture. You can also upgrade the seating of chairs and stools. Such alteration is available for doing on your own, even for a non-professional.

5.Striped "accessories". And finally, a very simple version of the striped decor. Ordinary things can also add a positive and cheerful mood to the house. It is enough to purchase striped pillows, bed linen, carpet, curtains, blinds and even napkins. The blessing of this good in stores is apparently invisible.
