How to bend wood?

In one of his previous releases on the channel we examined in detail one of the most ambitious of our projects - a two-story bath with terrace. And in the review of this project was mentioned one interesting detail - namely, a covered terrace made of larch planks, which we carefully drew up the corners semicircular terrace.
Many who have been surprised by the fact that the wood has been very carefully bent and people began to ask questions about it. Well, for us, this feature is not some terrible secret, and we gladly want to share with you all the tricks of the reception. Let's start! ▶

This is easily done even at home, but not without special equipment.
You will need the following devices: a home steam generator, a pipe 160 mm in diameter and 2 meters in length for outdoor sewerage, sanitary adhesive tape and polyethylene. Having at hand all the necessary equipment, we proceed to the description of the process.

To begin with, you should gather steam chamber. For this purpose one of the sides of the soil pipe is plugged, on the other hand is placed on the transition diameter 50 mm. Thereafter, a hole of 50 mm is connected to the steam generator by means of adhesive tape and polyethylene.

Gathering steam chamber, you must put it in the desired wood board and float it there about 18 hours. After steaming the wood will be much more flexible and soft, so you can easily bend it to suit your needs and mount.

That's such a straightforward process turned out to be "bending" of the wood. However, to receive from him the effect is difficult to overestimate, as this can greatly help you in decorating or home decoration.
