How easy it is to get rid of grass overgrowth of garden paths without chemicals.
Happy owners of private backyards make a lot of effort to ensure that their site looks always well-groomed and beautiful. One of the points that guests pay attention to is the garden paths.
Most often they are laid out with tiles or stones. This is very convenient, especially in the rain: it is always more pleasant to walk on a flat, hard surface and not get your shoes dirty.
But, as they say, beauty requires sacrifice. Our paved paths are no exception to the rule. The space that remains between tiles or stones is regularly overgrown with grass. As a result, vegetation interferes with walking, and such paths do not look very good.
How to deal with this, so as not to spend a lot of money and effort?
Each owner approaches the solution of this difficult issue in his own way: he uses chemicals or, with the help of regular physical labor, pulls out weeds.
I didn't feel like using any of these methods. I don't recognize chemistry at all. Better let the grass grow than harmful substances will be sprayed next to me. And endlessly removing the herb by hand doesn't inspire me at all.
But I was very lucky with a neighbor who also does not seek to use chemical preparations, but constantly finds natural substitutes for them. And she shared with me a recipe for one product that destroys grass and prevents it from growing too quickly.
Of course, first you have to work hard and cut off the already regrown grass, you can use scissors. Then we prepare a solution: for 1 liter of boiled water, you need to take 2 tablespoons of salt and 10 tablespoons of vinegar. Mix everything and then water the gaps between the tiles.
As a result, the grass stops growing for a long period and only after a while, especially in rainy weather, is it able to resume its growth. But, to prevent this, just repeat the procedure again.
