I collect Parsley four times a season. For some reason, many Summer residents do not know about this trick
Getting a lush and juicy harvest of parsley throughout the summer is the dream of hundreds of summer residents. Of course, you can make blanks, finely chop the greens, sprinkle them with salt and leave them in jars in a cool place.
Or you can not salt at all, but freeze the parsley bunches. In this case, the question arises, how to grow enough parsley to make supplies and enjoy them all year round?
I discovered a little secret for myself that allows you to harvest four times in the entire season! Ready to find out about him?
Preparing the sowing site
Some summer residents turn the cultivation of greenery into a kind of business or simply want to make large stocks of parsley for the winter. In this case, you need to take care of the favorable soil in advance.
Attention should be paid to fertilizers that are applied to the soil in early spring.
To do this, you need humus (by the way, you should not overdo it with it). One bucket per 1 square meter. Mullein is an excellent complementary food option. But it is better to apply it to the soil in the fall.
During the winter, the processing (overheating) of the waste products of livestock takes place. Then the mullein acts more gently on the root system of plants.
If you still did not manage to fertilize the soil in the fall, I recommend diluting the mullein with water in a ratio of 1 to 10 and watering the soil with this solution in the spring.
Special cutting method
Many summer residents are trying to build parsley plantations on the site, thin out plantings, etc. But this is not necessary at all!
If you want to get a rich harvest all summer long, you need to cut the parsley using a special technology. In this case, it will be possible to collect a sufficient amount of greenery 3-4 times per season.
The rules for the correct cut technique are as follows:
I cut off only adult shoots that have reached a height of 15 cm (more, but not less);
I cut the branches as carefully as possible so as not to damage the young sprouts (by touching new sprouts, it is mono to completely destroy the plant, so it is better to use small scissors, not a knife);
· I leave the stem in the place of pruning about four centimeters long from the ground (it is undesirable to leave the bush "naked").
Well, the pruning is done. Now you need to water the parsley beds abundantly. In order for new sprouts to grow faster, it is necessary to feed the bushes with potassium humate.
It will also help strengthen the root system. Fertilize parsley in a timely manner, carefully cut the grown branches and enjoy a lush harvest all summer long!
