Are the potatoes in bloom? It is necessary to feed the worker with fertilizer and increase the yield. Large tubers are now enough until next fall
A fiery salute, fellow vegetable growers, gardeners, summer residents and all of them sympathizing!)
Do you want to grow a decent crop on your site? Don't waste time: potato bloom is almost the last chance to influence the quantity and quality of the result. I do one top dressing year after year and it gives "Wow-result". After reading the article to the end, you will also learn the recipe and how to use the remedy correctly, which I consider to be a "miracle" for large potatoes.
Soon I will write a detailed article on why you should not pick flowers from potatoes. subscribe to my channelso as not to miss it. And also - every day to read new tips, with which everything will ripen and bloom!
Just after the flowering of potatoes, a fascinating and useful phase for the grower begins in the life of a nightshade plant: the stage of growing tubers. It is easy to guess, comrades, that in many respects the yield depends on nutrition at a crucial time, and in particular, the volumes and the total number of tubers. Are you in business?
On a note: Top dressing is designed not only to increase the yield in quantitative and qualitative characteristics. Between a plant that is getting adequate nutrition and a healthy, robust plant that can withstand disease, I definitely put the equal sign.
The most important task for us now is to cover the needs of potatoes in phosphorus and potassium. It is these most valuable macroelements that directly affect the tuberization process that is so exciting for us now.
Therefore, I take 3 tools (Scroll to the right in the gallery):
Wood ash - 3 parts. Environmentally friendly, useful, proven over the years. If you belong to those gardeners who value crops without chemicals, use only it from my list, but add bone meal.
Superphosphate - 1 part. Phosphorus source.
Potassium sulfate - 1 part. A cool source of potassium.
I mix all the ingredients in a large bucket and... I go out with him into the garden. And here there is one important nuance: in order for the fertilizers to work immediately after feeding (which is what we need - we must not waste time!), The earth must be shed with water. Therefore, I apply either before watering (on an area where there is an opportunity), or before the rain. I advise you to do this too, comrades, so that the fertilizers work faster.
And now - to the application rates.
Question to readers: How do you fertilize your potatoes? Share your experience in the comments at the bottom of the article
The first time I found this recipe was several years ago. The instruction prescribed to add 3 tablespoons of ash and 1 superphosphate and potassium sulfate under 1 bush. Needless to say, I only had 3 rows?
Now I do not bother and just scatter the train across the field. Will the plants be fed? Will receive. That's it, mission accomplished, I really like the results - a decent harvest even in a rainy summer.
Are you planting potatoes and was the article helpful? Please put "Thumbs up" in response! Thank you. And if you are familiar with the problem of small and ugly berries in strawberries, I strongly advise you to read about the solution to the problem: 4 years ago I was horrified at how small and clumsy the strawberries are. But already solved the problem. I tell you how + photo of the result
