Why a log house is the most optimal home for people looking for a healthy lifestyle

A modern log house made of rounded logs is liked by everyone in appearance. It fits perfectly into the surrounding countryside. But his dignity is not limited to external beauty. The construction of a log house takes a minimum of time compared to houses made of other materials due to the following:

· Precise processing of logs on modern equipment for the subsequent assembly of the building;

· Easy assembly of a log house from prepared parts;

· Saving time and money on the foundation (during construction, a column or pile foundation is required, since the house rests on the foundation only at a few points).

When installing a log house, no additional work is needed to fit the logs. Only the assembly of ready-made logs is required. Manual work is needed only after the complete installation of the log house and consists in the following:

· Painting of logs with fire retardants and antiseptics;

The diameter of the rounded logs is of great importance. We built a house from logs with a diameter of 22 cm. It was possible to order a house from logs with a diameter of 22 -32 cm. A house 28 cm thick would have been even warmer, more beautiful and more reliable, but they did not pull financially. However, they calmly survived in the new house a frost of minus 36 degrees in 2017. Only the water supply, laid close to the wall under the floor, froze. 22 cm logs keep warm well in winter. The thickness of the log is greater than that of the timber, since all the slabs are cut to obtain the timber. Therefore, a log house is warmer than a log house.

Thanks to precise processing, the parts are closely mated. The initial caulking is needed everywhere, but especially in the corner joints. High quality caulk creates a cold barrier and will last for several years. The photo shows a part of the wall with the tow pulled out by the birds 6 years after the end of construction and caulking. If you varnish the seams with tow, then the birds will not pull out the tow, violating the tightness of the house.

Compared to houses made of other materials, a wooden house has a low weight and high strength. The strength of the house is given by the feature of the structure, consisting of interconnected parts.

One of the most important advantages of a log house is its environmental friendliness:

· Wood does not contain toxic substances;

· The materials from which the housing is built do not decompose and do not emit toxic substances over time like plastic;

· The walls breathe - the air in the house changes daily by 30%, so the room does not require ventilation;

· The natural smell of wood is always felt in the house, and there is no stale air.

We built a house 6 years ago and immediately began to live in it, not expecting complete shrinkage. Over the past years, I have never had a flu or a cold, although earlier I had repeatedly suffered from acute respiratory infections, flu and other "winter" sores. I believe that this is the merit of our eco-friendly home and uncrowded countryside. The house itself provides people with an optimal level of humidity and a healthy microclimate.
