Are the pear leaves starting to turn black and dry? I tell you what urgently needs to be done to save the Harvest

This fruit occupies an important place in my garden and I am used to taking care of pears carefully, how to do it - I learned from experienced gardening friends and through studying botanical books.

And guided by personal experience, I can say for sure - when the foliage of a pear tree darkens and dries up - this is an alarming sign! You need to act immediately, otherwise, you will have to forget about a good harvest!

At first, brown, eventually blackening spots affect only the leaves, and then - branches with flowers, fruits and even a tree trunk.

The most likely cause is fire blight, also known as bacteriosis and caused by the so-called Erwinia bacteria.

The infection options are varied:

· With vectors - rain, wind, insects;

· As a result of cutting with a non-sterilized instrument;

· Through mechanical damage to the bark.

Bacteriosis becomes likely when it warms up to + 18 ° C, it spreads rapidly, especially if the pear is in bloom - along with the pollen it gets on neighboring trees. And it is important to emphasize that apple trees, cherries and other fruit trees are much less susceptible to it.

As soon as you notice the black dry leaves, they must be removed, grabbing the branches little by little and burned. Of course, the pruning shears must be disinfected! Then the sections must be treated with a 1% solution of copper sulfate.

In case of bacteriosis, the pear does not need unscheduled feeding - it remains to hope, mainly, on the plant's own strong immunity. Yes, for store funds.

I understand that many people dislike "chemistry", but when it comes to the likely death of the garden, there is no choice!

If the leaves began to turn black and dry during the flowering period, then antibiotic treatment can save future fruit ovaries. Tetracycline, agrimycin, gentamicin have proven themselves well. For spraying pears, a solution is prepared from 1 thousand units of the drug and 10 liters of water.

Outside the flowering period, from a bacterial burn, such agents as Azophos and Fitolavin show themselves positively, which should be used in strict accordance with the instructions.

I also want to add that the wild hawthorn often becomes the focus of the emergence and spread of bacteriosis in the garden, so you need to uproot it from your site! If you want to see a hawthorn nearby, then let it be well-groomed, cultured.
