My best harvest of zucchini, squash and pumpkins at their summer cottage (photo review)
July is the most favorable time for ripening, collecting and preparing pumpkin seeds. This family is very diverse, including watermelons, zucchini, pumpkins, squash, melons and, of course, cucumbers. But the main representative who gave the name to the family is pumpkin.
It just begins to fill up in July, and will reach its planned size by autumn. The pumpkin is used for making soups, cereals, jams and pies. It is a dietary product, indispensable for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Vegetables from the pumpkin family are used for food all year round. But eating them fresh, of course, is healthier.
The most favorite of them are zucchini. These fruits have a very good effect on digestion, because they contain many vitamins, trace elements and fiber, which contributes to better functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
Zucchini come in a wide variety of colors and shades. White-fruited are the largest.
Zucchini is the most delicate and delicious of all zucchini.
Striped can be of various shapes. They are used for drying and making containers, decorating interiors.
Another type of pumpkin is squash. Children like them very much for their interesting shape. When there are many of them on the plant, it looks very cute. But they are also used for food, just like zucchini.
Patissons are often used to decorate vegetable compositions.
