How to get rid of caterpillars and black flea beetles on cabbage using simple folk remedies.

The most common remedy available to everyone is wood ash. On its basis, with the addition of one or two ingredients, you can prepare various remedies to combat caterpillars that love cabbage so much.

More often than other means, I use wood ash with laundry soap.
To prepare the solution, we take 10 liters of water, 500 g of wood ash and a half piece of laundry soap.

We dip the ash and soap into water, mix and let it brew for 24 hours. Sprinkle cabbage heads with this solution.
Some gardeners use one very clever way to trick cabbage babies.

They spread pieces of eggshell on cabbage, which the butterflies mistake for their relatives and do not sit on already occupied heads of cabbage.

You can also use a solution of ammonia. Add 50 ml of ammonia to a ten-liter bucket of water. We spray and water the cabbage with it.

Fir oil is also added to the water. Just 10 drops of oil in ten liters of water is enough to scare away pests from cabbage.

You can fight caterpillars with mixed flour and soda. Simply sprinkle with this mixture the heads of cabbage.

Effectively use infusions from strong-smelling plants: garlic, onions, etc. I usually prepare this infusion: I take potato stalks, tomato leaves, garlic arrows, onion husks and pour everything with boiled water.

I insist for at least a day, and then add the laundry soap dissolved in water. I moisten the cabbage thoroughly with the resulting solution, not missing a single leaf.

You can also prepare a salt-based solution. To do this, take two tablespoons of coarse table salt and dissolve in ten liters of water. Then water the cabbage, wetting all the leaves.

A similar solution is prepared with vinegar, which is also added to a ten-liter bucket of water, and then we spray the plants. Such water can be poured over cabbage.

The row spacing on a cabbage bed can be laid out with wormwood branches, which repels pests.

If this plant is not in your area, use slaked lime, which also sprinkle in the aisles.
