Plastic pipes are practical for arranging a plumbing system. But the disadvantage of plastic is that if you make a poor-quality joint, then the tightness disappears.

How to fix a leak in a plastic or metal pipe quickly and not flood the neighbors below?

Problems happen with plastic pipes. And I got cracks in the cast iron sewer pipe. Rusted on top of the paint.

There is an unpleasant smell in the toilet.

Wondering what to fix this place with? Tried with a sealant but didn't help. You can, of course, call the company to replace the sewer pipe, but you don't want problems.

We'll have to clean up the toilet, clean up everything behind the plumbers and don't want problems with the neighbors upstairs.

The other day I was in Leroy Merlin. Found a special there. tape for repairing metal and plastic pipes. Withstands temperatures from minus 10 to plus 80.

The tape is made on the basis of PVC and an adhesive layer. 10 meters wide 48 mm.

Adequate tape, costs only 90 rubles. It looks like an electrical tape, it stretches well. During repairs, it will stretch and fit more tightly to the pipe.

This tape will handle any leak. Plastic or metal pipes can be repaired quickly and efficiently. In addition, it protects the metal from rust. Everyone needs such a tape, especially in an apartment building.

Arriving home, I conducted a test. I connected a metal-plastic pipe to the shower hose, made a hole in it and prepared a plug.

He turned on the water. I began to wind the tape in 2-4 layers around the place with the hole, pulling the tape a little.

I put a plug to check under pressure if there is a leak.

As you can see in the video above, the feed did a great job. By the way, it is suitable not only for pipes. Many people close up holes in the tent or repair a leaky plastic (metal) watering can, bucket, basin, etc.
