I tried microwaving my sneakers in 10 minutes. Hmm, showing what happened (and whether the method works)
Fiery fireworks, my dear readers!
I know that many of us regularly come across articles on the Internet, everyday "life hacks" with flashy headlines. And soda with vinegar will remove the weeds forever, and boric acid whitens things... Should you believe these instructions?
I will definitely write about the experiment with the latter on my channel. Subscribe not to miss
If you don't try, as they say, you won't know. This morning I came across a piece of advice that seemed a bit... weird. The short text read: "If you urgently need to dry your sneakers, but there is no special device in the house, it doesn't matter. Just use the microwave. 10 minutes at maximum power and your shoes are dry. ".
Intrigued? Unfortunately, I really love experiments. My natural curiosity overcame my disgust. Still, stuffing your shoes in the microwave, in which, albeit rarely, you warm food is not the best idea.
In the early morning, while the whole summer cottage was asleep, I went to look for the experimental sneaker. Taking the shoes I'm wearing and heating them in the microwave for 10 minutes is too much even for me. Therefore, an old turquoise sneaker was chosen, which was previously used for hiking in the garden.
For the purity of the experiment, I even stretched the subject. Everything is like in life! A couple of dirty spots didn't want to go away. Carried away, she rubbed them a little with laundry soap for fidelity. Everything is like a real wash!
So I washed and rinsed my shoes. Seems like it's time to start experimenting with drying sneakers in the microwave?
Set the timer immediately for 10 minutes and wait miracles dry result, I did not risk it. No, I'm not afraid for the shoes. I'm afraid for the technique, because the holes for the laces have a border that looks like a metal one. At first I ran for 30 seconds and saw if there were sparks.
But the experiment did not have to be canceled urgently: everything was in order. After 1 minute, steam began to actively emerge from the sneakers. The way it should be. And after 2 minutes, unwashed laundry soap began to collect stains on the surface of the sneakers along with the remaining dirt, boil and, as a result, ugly baked.
But the surface of the sneaker was still wet. I dried them for a total of 8 minutes, periodically releasing steam from the microwave. And along with it - and an unpleasant smell, apparently, from the fumes of laundry soap.
I touched it - perfect! Both the surface and the insides of the shoe were dry. The water has evaporated, but... The glue evaporated with it. The backdrop is hopelessly peeled off:
So do not believe all the advice on the Internet. If you were interested - please put "Thumbs up" in response "!
