Why does the Apple tree shed unripe fruits? How to fix the problem and get a good Harvest

Falling unripe apples is a big grief for those who count on a bountiful harvest. You want to get a lot of fruit, from which you can make so many different blanks.

It is all the more offensive to get such an effect after caring for the apple tree, in which a lot of time and effort has been invested. I am telling you how to cope with this problem and not worry about your apple harvest.

Reasons for dumping unripe apples

There may be several reasons why the apple tree gets rid of its unripe fruits.

These include the following:

· Lack of moisture. In dry times, when a situation of lack of water arises, the apple tree gives up all the moisture to the leaves, and the fruits do not get anything. As a result, they dry up and fall off, remaining unripe.

· Lack of nutrients. The apple tree simply will not have the strength to nourish the fruit if it is not fertilized.

· The emergence of insect pests. If an apple moth started up in the apples, then the fruits infected with the pest disappear.

· Consequence of spring frosts

. If the apple tree has been damaged by frost, it cannot grow full, ripe fruits.

· Technical maturity of apples.

Solution to the problem

If the reason for the discharge of the fruit was a lack of moisture, the plant needs watering. Just three waterings per season will be enough. The main thing is not to pour water too close to the barrel. It is best to dig grooves around it and water there.

When the fruits are formed, you need to feed the apple tree with ammonium nitrate, diluted at the rate of 40 g of active substance per 10 liters of water. In the middle of summer, it makes sense to apply phosphate and potash fertilizers.

You can fight the apple moth with the help of special spraying. You can buy a special remedy, or even better, apply a regular wormwood infusion.

This pest does not tolerate it, and its natural origin will help to avoid the problem of the danger of fruits to humans.

It is almost impossible to fight the consequences of frost. It is recommended to initially choose seedlings of frost-resistant apple varieties.

It often happens that the apple tree sheds technically mature fruits. Inside them, there are already dark seeds, they are able to germinate, but they still cannot be eaten - for this they are not ripe.

In this case, I recommend letting the fruit simply lie in a dark and cool place for several weeks until fully ripe.
