What folk remedies do I use for late blight. All my plants are always healthy and bear fruit perfectly
Phytophthora is a microorganism of fungal origin. It provokes the development of a disease called late blight. Most often, the fungus infects tomatoes, potatoes and other plants from the Solanaceae family.
Also, foci of the disease may appear on other cultures. For the more active development of the disease, cool and humid weather is necessary. Late blight can affect not only the ground part of plants, but also tubers.
Crops most often suffering from late blight:
· Tomatoes;
Potatoes;
Pepper;
· Cucumbers;
· Decorative crops.
Chemical preparations give good results, but they have a significant drawback - they cannot be used before harvesting. For this reason, it is best to use folk remedies.
Tinder fungus
I dry the collected mushroom a little and chop it with a knife. After that, pour 100 g of dry mass with boiling water and insist under the lid.
After complete cooling, I filter and process the plants once every one and a half weeks. For 100 g of mushroom, you need to give 1 bucket of water. If necessary, pour in two or three liters, and then dilute the concentrate with cold boiled water.
This treatment is especially effective when fruits begin to set.
Copper wire
The essence of the method lies in the fact that the base of the stem is pierced with a thin copper wire. Copper must remain in the plant throughout the growing season.
This method really works, but only if it is used at a very early age of seedlings (it must be strong). Tomato or pepper in the process of growth receives micro doses of copper, and the plant develops immunity.
You need to pierce absolutely every plant. If the tomato has already formed an ovary, and brown spots have appeared on it, then no wire will save it.
Also, this method should not be used by people who have an allergic reaction to copper, since the fruits will have an increased content of this substance.
Milk serum
This budget method has proven effective, but only with regular treatments. The whey is diluted with water 1: and sprayed with tomatoes or peppers.
A film forms on the surface of leaves and stems, which prevents the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms.
Serum also contains microflora that kills fungal spores. Plants need to be processed daily.
Tincture of garlic and onion
You need to take 200 g of garlic cloves or onions, chop, pour a bucket of water and leave for about a day. After that, treat the surface of the plants.
Brilliant green solution
Add 40 mg of active ingredient to a bucket of water. The solution is used for spraying tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and other plants.
Yeast mixture
One package (100 g) of yeast is poured with half a bucket of warm water and infused for several hours. You can also add 50 g of sugar to the water. Before processing, the liquid is diluted to a volume of 10 liters. This method is useful as a prophylactic agent. It can be applied every 2 weeks.
Also, medications are often used to process tomatoes, for example Metronidazole or Trichopolum. They kill fungi and promote quick healing. One tablet of medicine is given per bucket of water.
