After the arrow of the garlic straightens, the flower film cracks, and bulbs (air bulbs) appear from there. In fact, they differ from the one-tooth only in size. Technologically they are the same. Full heads of garlic can be obtained from the bulbs. How to do it correctly?

On one peduncle, from 50 to 150 air bulbs are formed. This is a free planting material that is formed into one-tooth after a while. With the help of bulbs, we heal the plantings, since in several years the heads cease to be of high quality, and various diseases appear in the soil on the plants themselves.

Firstway. The formed bulbs on the peduncle must be cut off (during the garlic harvesting) in the region of 20-30 cm from the surface of the earth and already allowed to ripen in bunches. Before sowing, the bulbs must be peeled and sown for the next season no later than July 10. That is, the bulbs will be stored for a whole year in a room with positive low temperatures.

Planting scheme - 70-80 air bulbs are sown per 1 running meter. During the fall, they have time to take root well before frost and form leaves. After overwintering in the soil, in the spring, development begins as in the usual one clove of garlic. After July 20, the resulting bulbs are harvested.

Secondway. In autumn, bulbs are sown in the ground (about 70-80 pieces per running meter). The sowing depth is 3-5 cm. Before winter, they have time to take root, in spring their active development begins. But in the summer it is not dug up, but left for the winter. In the spring, plants begin to grow as after planting a common one-toothed.

The disadvantage of the above two methods is that in a humid and warm autumn, garlic can grow ahead of time, which reduces frost resistance and winter hardiness.

Thirdway. This is the most time consuming growing process. Bulbules are sown in autumn to a seeding depth of 3-5 cm. In the spring, the development of garlic from the bulbs begins.

In July, they get full-fledged mono-teeth, which are dug out of the soil. In the same autumn, they are sown in the ground like ordinary cloves of garlic. In summer, when digging, formed heads are obtained.

All methods work. Try, experiment!

Good harvests to you!
