Take your time to throw away cloudy cucumbers. I am telling you an elementary way to fix the problem
This year I ran into a problem during the next conservation, in four of the eight cans that I twisted, cucumbers turned cloudy. I was very upset, I was very sorry for both the strength and the time that I spent on the process.
It was a pity to throw away the vegetables, then a neighbor shared with me one secret how to save winter preparations.
Re-preservation
This option is suitable for those housewives whose cucumber pickle became cloudy no later than three days from the moment the jar was rolled, this was the case with me. There was no mold in my jar, only the color of the marinade changed, this problem can be dealt with.
In all other cases, you need to be careful, the formed fungus can be dangerous, so I do not recommend taking any resuscitation actions.
I recovered my canned cucumbers as follows:
· Carefully opened the metal lids, then poured the spoiled brine into the sink and took out the vegetables from the jar;
Tightly packed cucumbers and other components may not be taken out, but then you will have to process them several times with boiling water, I decided not to tempt fate, so I acted strictly according to the instructions I gave neighbor;
Put the vegetables in a separate container, and then poured boiling water over each instance, it is most convenient to do this with a colander;
• washed the jar well, dried it and sterilized again;
I again tamped the washed cucumbers into the jar, then poured boiling water;
After 15 minutes, poured the resulting brine into a saucepan, poured sugar, salt, citric acid and vinegar essence, the proportions were the same as with standard conservation;
· I set it to boil, as soon as the marinade boiled, I turned off the stove and poured it into the jars.
Then she acted according to the standard scheme: she twisted the cans, but already used new boiled lids. I set everything on its hind legs, covered it with an old blanket, as soon as they cooled down, you can lower it into the cellar.
This simple way of re-cooking canning has helped me restore the taste and quality of the winter harvest that all members of my extended family love.
But it must be added that this method cannot be used if the lids are swollen. If this happened to you, then the restoration of such conservation is impossible, since cucumbers can cause the development of dangerous botulism. I would not risk it and do not advise you.
