We continue to analyze the wrong and unsuccessful examples in construction. How not to do it, so as not to lose money, time and redo in the future. The first example is brick instead of paving stone:

Probably someone decided to use the remnants of the brick. It looks like an ordinary brick that absorbs moisture well. If the photographs are taken in a place where winters with negative temperatures occur, then the brick will not live long in this use case. Ice breaks any material. If you're lucky, the brick will last for several years in such conditions. And then the following picture will happen to the brick - it will crumble:

The brick can be impregnated with a water repellent by immersion. But this will help delay the destruction by 2-3 years.

But it is possible that the photographs of laying bricks instead of concrete paving stones were taken somewhere in the southern regions with no temperatures below zero. But the last photo is clearly with Russian landscapes (conifers). The savings when using such brick paving stones are small. Brick will turn out about

RUB 300 / m2, and ordinary paving stones - 400-600 rubles / m2.

Paving stones with the best indicators of frost resistance in our time are vibropressed paving stones.

The reason is simple: someone leveled the floors on the floor above, made a self-leveling floor. But the builders did not seal the holes in the channels that are used to lay the electrical cable. This screed leaked into the apartment to the neighbors. The case, of course, is a unique one, probably related to the low qualifications of the workers that they could not foresee this. The neighbors probably had a short circuit, the automatic machines in the dashboard went off. If you were on vacation - the refrigerator thawed, there was a smell in the apartment from it.

Foam-laid tiles. At first I want to say: "Why, it was possible ?!" Cut off the foam, wipe its traces on the tile with Dimexidum (method in this article) and that's it - quickly and without wet work. But it seems to me - this is a staged video. In any case, when the foam expands, the tile will move away and there will be no flat surface. You can try foam adhesives with a low expansion coefficient. But. There will be voids under the tiles. Water can accumulate (or condense) in them, fungus will appear and over time the water will destroy the foam.

A new neighbor in the country has appeared and decided to fence off the view of your site. Not coordinating such a fence in small summer cottages (the shadow falls on the beds) - you can run into a lawsuit from neighbors. I have the same neighbor - without agreeing with me, he began to install fence posts 3 m high and pouring a concrete tape 1 m high.And he has been doing this for the fifth year already: he gave up and switched to construction baths.
