How to choose a reliable vacuum cleaner: pros, cons and personal opinion of the user

In 2011, a Samsung vacuum cleaner was bought, but about six months ago it broke down due to the fact that a child accidentally blocked the air supply. We decided to buy a vacuum cleaner from the same company, since the first one was of high quality, reliably made, and would have worked for a long time, if not for an unexpected incident. I don't remember the name of that model, and it was not on sale either. We chose a product similar to the previous vacuum cleaner, and did not lose in many ways by purchasing the Samsung canister vacuum cleaner VC3100. Let's move on to the pros and cons to describe the characteristics more accurately.

Minuses

1. Weight

Compared to the first model, the VC3100 is quite heavy. The main part is about the same in weight, but the pipe is much heavier. It is made of metal, which is quite reliable and practical in some points. But carrying such a vacuum cleaner from room to room is hard.

2. Valve clogged

If you vacuum for a long time and do not clean the blue valve inside the container with dust, then the air flow becomes much weaker. When the device barely vacuums, the main function is not performed, the debris remains in place and has to again to clean the valve from dust, which is incredibly annoying, since you have to repeat this process constantly.

3. No remote control

In the old model, the remote control was present, but in the new VC3100 it is surprisingly absent. Yes, you have to constantly change the batteries in the remote control, which is very impractical, but turning the vacuum cleaner on and off with a touch of your finger without bending over is very convenient. It is a pity that this is not the case in the new model.

pros

1. Adjustable strength

If the old model had only three speeds, then there are a lot of them. You can not vacuum at the maximum, but make it slightly quieter, or vice versa, set it at an incredible speed. This choice made me happy.

2. Multiple attachments

Three attachments - classic, with brushes on the sides, unusual, with a spinner inside and narrow with bristles, for cleaning corners. All three, of course, are rarely used, but sometimes they are necessary. Cat and dog owners will love the spinner brush head, and everyone will love the slim spider web head.

3. Easy cleaning

If in the old model it was necessary to wash some internal parts for filtration, then here it is only necessary to throw out the garbage from the dust container. Awesome time savings!

This vacuum cleaner pleased me with its functionality - a large selection of attachments and modes, as well as advanced cleaning. But its weight and clogged valve are very upsetting. If we talk about reliability, then this is probably the best model in this category. The VC3100 is rugged, powerful and indestructible. Owners of the same vacuum cleaner, what can you say about this?
