The construction business is designed in such a way that it is unprofitable to sell high-quality housing, and indeed the quality of services. It is customary here to create a beautiful wrapper: it has more margin, and it sells faster. But what is hidden behind the beautiful wrapper - read on.

There are several tricks here that cunning builders make money on. Basically, this is a deliberate violation of technology in order to appropriate the surplus. In some cases, the construction material planned for the project is replaced with a cheaper one.

The first trick is performed with insulation, which can be replaced with a thinner one. To do this, mineral wool, for example, can be fluffed up, that is, to give it volume and lay loosely. This trick is revealed simply: just press your finger on the insulation and if it shrinks easily, you were deceived. Check it carefully so that cold air does not come from the ceiling in winter!

The next disappearance magic occurs with bio-fire protection. You will be convinced that wood will become more durable if it is protected from decay, parasites and fire. The last argument is the most convincing and encourages to fork out for expensive impregnation. But if you do not control this process, some of the canisters will leave in the trunk of the contractor to another facility. In some cases, only the smell can be absorbed into the wood from the fire protection.

Check the application of impregnations, sign on the cans with a marker and demand the return of empty containers!

Another magic happens with the pie, but not with the one in the kitchen, but with the roofing one. After construction, it may not contain several layers that enterprising builders considered unnecessary in order to relieve the load from the foundation and your wallet. When revising the roof, you can miss: counter-battens; membrane layer; additional layers at the conjunction of structures. Sometimes you can find cellophane film instead of expensive vapor barrier. This will not change the look of the roof - functionality will suffer.

A drainage system is also a good way to make money. As a result of the work, a certain number of gutter hooks may be missing here. Sometimes one strange optical illusion happens - it starts to seem to you that the pipes and gutters are slightly smaller in diameter than they should be. Check the diameter of these elements while they are not yet mounted, or rather buy and bring everything yourself!

• carefully check the fasteners and their quality so that the roof does not turn into a flying carpet in a hurricane;
