Do not throw the Marigolds away, I do not do this and do not advise everyone. I tell you where and how I use them
Marigolds or marigolds are grown today as an ornamental plant. But few people know that these cute flowers have many useful qualities and can be used to treat diseases.
In India, fresh leaf juice is used to treat eczema. Representatives of the Mexican Indian tribes with the help of this plant relieved the patient's condition with rheumatism, and also prepared lactation teas for lactating women.
Traditional medicine uses infusions of marigolds to destroy helminths, as well as a diaphoretic and diuretic.
Before using these flowers for external or internal use, it is worth checking the presence or absence of an allergic reaction.
It is necessary to pour boiling water over one fresh flower and leave for a quarter of an hour. After that, you should drink tea and wait. People prone to allergies will immediately feel unwell.
You can also apply juice to the inside of your elbow. If there is no redness or swelling, then the remedy is suitable for treatment.
Cooking marigold oil
Such a fragrant remedy will help heal wounds or minor burns.
Collect fresh flowers, chop thoroughly, cover with vegetable oil in a 1: 1 ratio. Insist in a dark place for 12 hours, and then put in a water bath and warm up to 70 ° C for 30 minutes.
After the procedures, strain the oil, pour it into a dark glass container and put it in a cool place, such as a refrigerator or basement.
The oil can be successfully used for inhalation for coughs, bronchitis, or other inflammatory processes in the respiratory tract. Essential oils fight germs and also have an expectorant effect.
You can also lubricate coarse skin on the heels, knees or elbows, bedsores, pustular rash with oil.
Rejuvenating lotion
I pour about two tablespoons of crushed inflorescences with a glass of boiling water overnight, cover with a saucer on top and wrap well.
In the morning, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of vodka to the strained infusion. With this product I rub the skin on my face two or three times. The infusion can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
Other uses for marigolds
1. Inflorescences can be added to compotes and jelly as a spice. Also, this plant helps to improve digestion.
2. I pick the flowers, dry them, put them in linen bags and place them between the linen so that the moth does not start.
3. I add to the marinade when canning tomatoes (do not overdo it with the quantity).
