It is difficult to find a person who would not like nuts. This is understandable: they are not only tasty, but very nutritious and healthy. The big plus of nuts is that they are perfect for a quick bite out of the house.

Literally everyone can eat nuts. Even people with diabetes can eat them without harm to their health.

Nuts are also recommended to be included in the diet for those who have problems with the heart and blood vessels. The substances contained in nuts have a positive effect on the condition of the skin and hair.

Some of the most popular types of nuts are walnuts, peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, and cashews. All of these nuts can be eaten raw, but cashews without special processing pose a threat to our health.

Cashews can be easily poisoned if eaten raw.
So why is this poisonous nut sold in stores without special processing?

Most often, cashews are sold in this form only where it grows. Local residents are well aware of the dangers and boil and steam nuts on their own so that they become edible.

You can also roast the nuts in a hot oven. After such processing, the cashew peel is easily removed. It is in the peel that poisonous substances are contained.

Why is cashew so useful?

As with other nuts, cashews are packed with nutrients. One of them is omega-3 acids. The human body really needs this element and in order to get it in the required amount, you should eat several nuts daily.

It is strongly discouraged to be zealous in the use of nuts, since all nuts are very high in calories. And excess weight has not brought any benefit to anyone.

But all the same, there are many more advantages to using nuts than disadvantages. If you eat nuts in limited quantities, but regularly, then the brain will improve and the immune system will be strengthened.

They also contain antioxidants that significantly reduce the risk of malignant tumors and improve the functioning of the pancreas.

Before you buy cashew nuts, you should know the signs that indicate poisoning or a severe allergic reaction: metal taste in the mouth, severe burning sensation, numbness of the mouth, chemical burns of the mouth, headache and even nausea and vomiting.

A person, when eating one raw nut, feels unpleasant changes and stops eating them, so adults rarely get cashew poisoning.

But you should be careful and especially watch out for children who are most often capable of poisoning cashews.
