How to reduce the cost of the basement floor

I reviewed various options for erecting the basement, calculated the cost, determined the labor costs. My conclusion after the calculations is this: the walls of the basement are cheapest to build from FBS. And it's also faster, requires fewer resources.

I decided to make the outer walls from 40, the inner walls from 30. I bought the blocks back in March, so it turns out much cheaper. I was looking for used ones for a long time, but it didn't work; in the end, he ordered everything at the precast concrete plant, which is literally a couple of kilometers from the construction site.

Installation of FBS

I brought the blocks the next day after removing the formwork of the armored belt. The armopoyas itself was allowed to stand for about 30 days, pouring water on it in the first days. Further, within two days the blocks were laid with the help of a crane - nothing interesting.

Basement wall waterproofing

Here it has become more interesting. I had to dig out the foundation along the perimeter of the outer side to the sole. My brother and I were digging hard for 2 days. While waiting for the maturation of the concrete of the armopoyas, I studied how best to make waterproofing. I really read a lot on this topic and ended up getting upset. It seems that the best option is a multilayer one, including a welded waterproofing, but its price was not at all pleasing.

How did I

Here is a list of my actions:

  1. I buy a primer, liquid mastic, EPS 5 cm.
  2. I go through the walls with a primer - at this stage I even enjoy my work.
  3. I cover with mastic - here I am really tired. He worked with a spatula, wearing rubber gloves. But, whatever one may say, he got dirty all the same, moreover, decently. And how she washes off "beautifully"! In general, a pair of pants, T-shirts and a bunch of gloves were heroically killed at this event.
  4. Then they insulated with EPS, mounted the material on glue-foam. Very convenient and the waterproofing layer from the holes for the fungi is not disturbed. Insulated to the depth of freezing. I don’t know if it’s right or not, but again, my father said, "this will be enough."

At this stage, the main work on the plinth was completed. Next, you need to think about building walls - there are more questions than answers.
