Laying floor slabs. One
Armopoyas is poured and gained strength, the slabs have been delivered to the site - you can start laying them. After watching several videos of other self-builders (channels We are building for ourselves and Dmitry Koblikov in YouTube), I realized that there is nothing complicated about it.
Asked the price for crane services in advance. Cranes with a long boom from 24 m had a cost of 2200 rub / hour plus the road on the way (2 hours). And at least 8 ocloc'k work. Apparently, it is easier for them to stand idle for days, but then make money at one facility.
I remembered that two years ago a crane was working on a nearby plot across the road. And the thought arose that they ordered the crane not from the city, from the village of Emelyanovo, 12 km away. I phoned the owner of the site - he confirmed my guesses and gave the crane operator's phone numbers.
I called, found out the prices and set the day. Cost - 2000 rub / hour At least three hours, then the trip is included in the price. In time, the crane operator promised to assemble 11 slabs in three hours, but he thought that we would cover the basement. But in place, everything turned out to be more complicated.
In conversation, the crane operator asked: will there be assistants? I was surprised at my answer and offered to take one of his brigades, since in his experience, laying the slabs alone, even with an experienced crane operator, is unrealistic. And below I will explain in what place of work you cannot do without an assistant. 1000 RUB for the work of an assistant. A small amount for a few hours of work.
Pallets with aerated concrete stood against the walls and had to be temporarily moved. The crane stood along the front of the house. Then the pallets were put up.
I did not film the process of laying the slabs, because it was not before. I will describe everything in words and show the result.
The day before the work, I made a carriage, 15 cm wide (for the design width of the support plates) for applying the mortar. But with this carriage it is difficult to apply mortar on the inner wall when the slabs are already lying on it on one side. Rather, you can apply, but part of the solution falls into the gap.
Part was applied with a trowel. The crane operator and the worker liked my invention. And when they talked to each other in their own language (in my opinion, Armenian) I understood one thing: I rummage around the construction site. On the masonry, they also confirmed that everything was done well.
So, the layer of solution from the carriage turned out to be even in width and height. And since my armopoyas is also smoothed out evenly, the plates lay on one level. Sometimes reinforcement is placed in the solution (if the armo-belt is curved, not smoothed).
It is better to make the mortar with a small amount of plasticizer. If with a concrete retarder - even better. It is important that the mortar when laying all the slabs is of the same mobility - all the slabs will be on the same level.
I applied the solution, the assistant hooked the stove and went upstairs too. The position of the slab was controlled from two edges. And here it would be difficult for one to cope. The slab hangs, rotates and you need to control its position from each edge when laying. Of course, with the help of a crowbar, it was possible to push the not fully lowered slab. Which they did sometimes.
The crane did not stay in place all the time - it was laying the north side on the two sides of the house. The slabs had to be moved on the ground to a new place (so that it could be reached by the arrow).
Result. A large gap between the slabs was left on purpose. For the stove chimney. And the gap itself will be filled with concrete with reinforcement.
The lateral edges of the plates do not rest on the armored belt. Leave a minimum gap of 0.5 cm.
Places of support of the slabs on the walls and the joint between the slabs. Then, after laying the zero row of blocks (around the slabs), the joints are sealed with mortar.
Inside view. The rooms got volume and there was a feeling that you, although in an unfinished, but in a house.
There is one important detail. After the plates are laid, the solution is squeezed into the interior of the premises:
The excess mortar must be removed with a spatula, and where there is not enough mortar in the seam, add and rub. Despite the fatigue after work, I had to do it all. Otherwise, then you will hammer down the influx with a hammer.
After installation, the excitement that the slabs might not fit somewhere was gone. Although, before buying the slabs, I once again measured everything with a tape measure - everything agreed with the project with an accuracy of a fraction of a centimeter.
Slabs laying costs: RUB 10,000 (4.5 hours and 1000 rubles. assistant). Basic costs for overlapping: 15,000 rubles. - fittings, 6,000 rubles. - formwork, 28,000 rubles. - concrete and concrete pump, 105,000 rubles. - plates, 10,000 rubles. - crane. Total: 164 thous. rub. This is cheaper than a monolithic floor by at least 50 thousand. But to bring the slab to the rough version - there is still a lot of work. I will show these works in the following articles ...
