How to make a budget fence for a summer residence in one day: instructions

In our country, and in the countries of the former union, the fence is the number one necessity. Without this simple protective structure, everything valuable from a site or a construction site quickly disappears, and the free area is filled with garbage over time. At least some kind of fence, but it must definitely stand. We will tell you how to build a budget fence in one day and even make it invisible.

Necessary materials

Times go by, and nothing has been invented more functional and cheaper. For our fence you will need:

chain-link 2 meters high with a cell of 55 * 55 mm;
profiled pipe 50 * 50 * 2 mm - pieces of 3 meters;
cable with a diameter of 4 mm, PVC braid;
nuts with an inner diameter of 10–12 mm;
stoppers;
lanyards - 2 pcs.;
clamps for a cable - 4 pcs.;
cable loops - 2 pcs.;
pieces of wire.

Consumables are useful: cement, sand, crushed stone; paint, brushes.

Many people use wire instead of a cable, but this is not an economy, but a damage to the mesh. The fact is that it is impossible to give a good tension to the wire and for this reason the mesh will sag. The chain-link is especially strongly deformed if plants, for example, wild grapes, begin to curl along it: it creates a load and the fence sags.

What should be done

First of all, it is necessary to install the pillars, the role of which is played by the professional pipe. Only the extreme racks need to be concreted, the rest can be simply driven into the ground. The distance between the posts is 2-2.5 meters. The height of the pillar above the ground is 2 meters, that is, the deepening should be one third of its length.

If the planned fence is more than 15 meters in length, it is necessary to additionally concreate the pillar in the middle to give stability to the structure. On long fences of 50 meters or more, it is best to concrete every 4th or 5th post. If the soil is rocky and it is not possible to hammer the racks, they need to be concreted all over.

Installation of fence posts: concreting or prancing?

To stretch the mesh, it is necessary that the extreme pillars do not walk, that is, they are concreted. This can be done with conventional cement mortar or dry. With classic concreting, you need to stand for several days until the concrete hardens; when using a dry solution, you can start stretching the chain-link immediately.

Dry method:

before installing the post, you need to fill in a little rubble and tamp it - such a pillow will drain water;
the rack must be level;
Fill the hole with a grinder (a mixture of sand and cement) mixed with broken brick and tamp it tightly.

After the gartsovka gets wet and the cement reacts with moisture, the dry compacted mixture will turn into a monolith.

Nuts or staples?

When the pillars are installed, nuts must be welded onto them that will hold the cable. Two nuts are welded to each pillar: one at a distance of 10 cm from the upper edge of the professional pipe; the second at the same distance from the ground. After this procedure, the pillars should be painted.

If the work is taking place far from the mains and there is no generator, special brackets can be installed instead of nuts. These brackets are attached to the post using a metal self-tapping screw. You can mount them with an ordinary screwdriver.

Stretching the netting

Next, a mesh is pulled over the posts. It needs to be fixed to the welded nuts with pieces of wire. If one roll of chain-link is not enough, the mesh must be spliced with a lock. This lock can be easily made from steel wire by wrapping it around a long flat strip. The lock is passed through the outermost cells, turning the mesh into a single whole.

After the mesh is pre-mounted on the posts, it is necessary to pull the cables from the top and bottom. The cable, on the one hand, is fastened with a clamp through a nut to the extreme post. Then it is threaded through the mesh and subsequent nuts. On each post, after tension on the cable, you need to install a stopper - this will fix the tension.

When the cable reaches the extreme post on the other side, a loop must be installed on it and attached to the lanyard. The lanyard itself can be mounted to the nut using a wire, attached with a bracket or welded. It remains only to pull the cable with a lanyard and you're done!

How to make sure the fence is not visible

The chain-link performs its fencing functions, but does not cover the territory from prying eyes. Fortunately, there are now cheap materials that can easily fix this flaw. This is a shading net that can often be seen on scaffolding fences. This mesh with the help of plastic clamps must be pulled over the chain-link and the territory of the yard will not be visible.
